Àni Villas, a collection of fully serviced luxury vacation estates, has plans to expand into Thailand and Sri Lanka.
In February 2015, Àni Villas will premier two additional tropical island estates—one on Thailand’s Koh Yao Noi island, and the other on the central south coast of Sri Lanka.
Like Àni Villas’ flagship Anguilla estate, the Thailand and Sri Lanka properties will be fully staffed and serviced with private butlers, chefs, housekeepers, concierge service, and security. Both estates include spas, oversized oceanfront pools, dedicated children’s pools, and fully outfitted gyms.
Designed by Phuket-based Naga Concepts, the 10-bedroom Thailand estate draws inspiration from the country’s northern temples. The 15-bedroom beachfront compound in Sri Lanka will be completed by Paris-based Reda Amalou of AW2 and will combine contemporary tropical architecture with bespoke furnishings.
“The Thailand and Sri Lanka locations were chosen for their idyllic, exotic natural beauty, as well as for the role that the accompanying, nonprofit Àni Art Academies could have on the surrounding communities,” says Ira Bloom, CEO of Àni Villas. Àni Art Academies is supported by the Tim Reynolds Foundation, which is funded by Àni Villas owner Tim Reynolds. The academies use an intensive multi-year curriculum, developed by painter Anthony J. Waichulis, to provide oil painting and drawing instruction to up-and-coming artists. The villas provide a venue to expose the artists’ work to guests and other vacationing tourists.
