Named for its address in the heart of Oyster Bay, 2 Spring is set to open this fall on Spring Street in the Long Island town. The American Brasserie is a collaboration project from local couple Claudia and Michael Taglich and chef Jesse Schenker, who brought on architecture firm Smiros Smiros and interior design firm Sophie Thibon Interior Design to create a space highlighting the town’s history and charming character.
The dining room blends refined and eclectic pieces, such as the zinc top bar, and reflects mid-century style with brick lime washed walls and tin ceilings. A multi-level garden patio with lush greenery houses a 10-seat bar with direct views of the town. Offering an expansive wine program boasting tastes from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the U.S., the restaurant is complete with a 1,700 bottle wine cellar.
