The Apurva Kempinski Bali has unveiled its newest eatery Koral, an underwater dining concept that embraces a vivid backdrop of marine life.
Conceived by Rudy Dodo of Trivium Design Group, a casual and refined ambiance permeates across the interior where teak adorns the traditional red clay brick surfaces of the walls and ceilings paying homage to the construction of the Majapahit Empire, the legendary state of Southeast Asia. As another layer to the design’s historical references, black and white tegel tiles line the space in the recollection of the island’s historic royal courts of the 13th and 16th centuries, while large dining room windows frame tropical fish in a swirl of kaleidoscopic colors housed within a glass-roofed tunnel.
