Following a top-to-bottom renovation, London-based chef and restaurateur Vivek Singh has reopened the Cinnamon Club eatery.
Established in 2001, the Grade II-listed F&B outlet was redesigned by locally based B3 Designers, who referenced the site’s former life as the Westminster Library.
The approximately 3,900-square-foot restaurant now features a strong color palette, contemporary furnishings, vintage wood paneling, and shelves of antique books—all set beneath expansive ceilings.
The main dining room, set beneath a mezzanine, offers marble-topped tables and newly added booths with brass-stripe detailing. Paneling here was accented with timber and mirror elements. Restored library bookcases wrap the entire space and hold specially curated books catalogued by color and subject.
The mezzanine area above features bold blue walls that complement the dining room, along with artworks and banquette seating.
A private dining room is outfitted in off-white tones, found in its cornices, moldings, and two large arches. Heavy blue velvet curtains add additional visual appeal.
Meanwhile, the Library Bar is accented with cocktail-style furniture—upholstered in plush velvet—and sage-colored walls that complement the mahogany bookcases.
In addition to opal shades and brass light fixtures, the space was decorated with old maps, photos of the library, and other locally inspired, vintage images.
