Gdynia, Poland-based firm Ideograf has crafted a minimal yet modern coffeehouse in the heart of the Old City. Housed within a modernist tenement house from the early 1900s, the project draws influence from the Roaring Twenties, with the façade’s original mirror tiles remaining as a tribute to the building’s heritage.
Architect Paulina Czurak also collaborated on the design of the 1,292-square-foot space, drenched in natural light. The café’s standout detail is its interior wall comprising 2,740 ceramic teacups, which were designed by an outside ceramics company with the necessary mounting holes prior to firing the cups to minimize waste.
Extensive wooden elements, vintage posters, and a custom Art Deco-style logo are other unique accents.
