The new brasserie concept of the British restauranteur Sam Harrison has arrived on the ground floor of the Riverside Studios art center in Hammersmith, London. Conceived by locally based studio, DesignLSM, the 4,000-square-foot eatery Sam’s Riverside is lined with a palette of stained oak, brass, and marble along with polished concrete floors, evoking contemporary elegance.
Illuminated copper signage punctuates the restaurant’s main entrance, while an alternative entry is crafted as a timber-slatted tunnel. The burnt orange banquettes in the dining room are positioned to overlook the open kitchen, as the restaurant’s marble-topped cocktail bar is detailed with retro-style lamps and pastel pink barstools. An 18-seat private dining room is also featured inside, wrapped in modern Crittal screens.
“It was key for us to translate Sam’s vision into a narrative that had real resonance for him, as well as his London audience. This project has been a true labor of love for us,” says DesignLSM senior designer Tom Munson.
