The Gleneagles hotel in Perthshire has announced its relaunch of one of Scotland’s most famed restaurants, The Strathearn, offering first-class Highland dining and silver service. Following an update from London-based Ennismore Design Studio, the eatery returns with a striking new look reminiscent of the golden age of railway travel.
The redesign brings back the glamour and vibrancy of fine dining trends notable of the past century. A new orangery-lined mosaic floor overlooks the surrounding estate, while a new stage to host music performances complements the dramatic opulence of the interior. The kitchen-style breakfast server doubles as an occasional private dining area at the site of the restaurant’s former kitchen.
“We didn’t want to radically change the spirit of the experience,” says Sharan Pasricha, CEO of Gleneagles and Ennismore. “Instead, we wanted to take the essence of The Strathearn and turn up the volume.”
