In the heart of London’s Haymarket, the 4,000-square-foot restaurant Farzi Café demonstrates a dramatic reinterpretation of Indian dining. Crafted by DesignLSM, the unique modernist aesthetic supports the “Farzification” of the space punctuated with energy and playfulness. The polished ambiance expresses elements of texture, pattern, and motion throughout in highlights including a wooden block wall detailed with individually lit bricks.
A green marble desk greets diners upon entry, accented with bespoke brass fretwork. The main dining room and bar feature a ceiling raft composed of angled brass and fumed oak that serves to guide visitors toward the heart of the space—the open kitchen. A salt brick wall stands beside the culinary nucleus, while comfortable, velvet-upholstered booths line a wall of the eatery beneath warm lighting. The bar is equipped with the focal point of illuminated panels and high brass gantry as well. Downstairs, the private dining room seems to illuminate. A moody green palette is juxtaposed against gilded walls that shine with help from an array of pendant lighting.
