The 22-story Hollywood Proper Residences has opened new rooftop bar and lounge concept Filifera. Designed by Kelly Wearstler, it is the latest venue under the Proper Hospitality banner.
A rich, neutral palette characterizes the interior along with organic textures and locally crafted furnishings. Raw birchwood walls inject warmth and casual elegance distinct to Los Angeles across the concept. Intimate seating enclaves punctuate the outdoor area, maximizing panoramic views of LA landmarks, including the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Park Observatory.
“Filifera, though in the middle of Hollywood, transports you to a different place altogether,” Wearstler says. “I wanted to bring a natural, coastal feeling to the environment. It’s the feeling of a soulful Malibu beach house perched 22 stories above the city.”
