Named after a Tuscan sea town, Forte Dei Marmi has debuted in Miami as the latest concept from Michelin-starred chef Antonio Mellino and his son Raffaele. Led by architect Chad Oppenheim and Milanese designer Henry Timi, the design of the 250-seat Italian seafood eatery is situated on the southern tip of Miami Beach within a restored Mediterranean revival building from 1938.
Oppenheim and Timi chose authentic materials to capture the ambiance of an Italian beach. The contemporary aesthetic draws inspiration from the Lucca province of northern Tuscany. The gardens and inviting landscapes of Enzo Enea also foster the link between the seaside environments. The second floor is home to the FDM Arts Club, a private area conceived as a cultural hub that doubles as a lounge and social network that emphasizes engagement and art appreciation.
