Cameroon-based architecture practice Hermann Kamte & Associates (HKA) has revealed plans for Lego Lunch, a fast-casual dining concept in Siauliai, Lithuania made of recycled shipping containers. Designed as modular and replicable, each module is independent and easily reproduced.
The restaurant will be positioned to face south to maximize natural light and heat. The structure will also be equipped with LED lighting and insulation to accommodate diners in the cool climate. Additional materials like wood and glass will be used to enhance the design’s energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint. The building will also be topped with greenery on its rooftop to further adhere to its sustainability goals.
A wooden trellis will be installed atop each container to create an awning above spaces between containers. Stairs and platforms surrounding the design will be made of wood and metal.
