Monaco-based firm Humbert & Poyet Architecture has unveiled its reimagining of the famed South American eatery Anahi in Paris’ Haut Marais district.
The eatery maintains its cracked porcelain—a testament to the venue’s longevity—along with the central counter, reverse painted glass ceiling, and globe lights. The revamp recalls the styles and luxury of 1940s steam trains, complete with mahogany wall panels covered in braided leather and custom opaline and polished brass wall lamps.
New terrazzo flooring is accented with red stones to complement the walls. Rosso Levanto marble is also featured on the wood-rimmed dining tables, punctuated with table legs crafted from gilded brass and mirror from the original Art Deco ceiling. Classic bistro chairs upholstered in South American-inspired fabric are also incorporated.
