Located on the ground floor of Tel Aviv’s Start-Up Nation Central headquarters, L28 Culinary Platform has debuted as Israel’s first chef accelerator restaurant. Designed by locally based firm Kimmel Eshkolot Architects, the culinary concept welcomes new and promising Israeli chefs to sign up for six-month residencies at the incubator along Lilienblum Street.
The spacious, double-height interior is contextualized with high wooden boards that fold toward the street. In addition, a raised platform functions as a lounge and meeting space during daytime hours. Framing the open kitchen, the main dining room is visible from all angles including the gallery and private dining room housed above the kitchen. Natural, warm materials span the interior, while vegetation forms a green wall. The neutral material palette is complemented by concrete floors crafted from resina and black steel. An urban farm crowns the building to serve as a platform for education and to provide vegetation for the kitchen.
