Amsterdam-based design firm Concrete has completed work on Izakaya Asian Kitchen & Bar, the latest dining concept to join the F&B lineup at Roomers Hotel Munich. Evoking both classic and contemporary sensibilities, the striking design juxtaposes black materials with light oak lamellas that stretch across the ceiling and extend down the walls.
Spanning 130 seats, the restaurant is appointed with natural materials like wood, leather, and marble to exude a warm sensuality. Dark, earthy tones deliver a counterpoint to polished copper elements across the varied seating enclaves. An essential signature of the Izakaya brand, an elaborate fish mobile crafted from natural beech wood is installed above the dining room’s large, communal table.
