The Kaffe Landskap restaurant and coffee shop is now open near Denver’s Union Station. The Swedish name, which translates to “coffee landscape,” was the jumping off point for the chic yet straightforward new concept.
Local firm Roth Sheppard Architects oversaw the design of the airy and open space, which balances a market-like atmosphere with the urban exterior environment. Modern but playful, the interior’s simple material palette of solid white oak flooring and custom timber furniture amplifies warmth. The bakery section of Kaffe Landskap is clad with colorful Swedish cement tiles in homage to tiled woodfire stoves, known as Kakelugns, that are traditional of Swedish homes.
