The Brunello family, founder of Bay Area breadmaker Le Boulanger, plans to open Fire, Oak & Barley—a casual restaurant concept in Palo Alto, California.
The 4,000-square-foot restaurant’s name references its wood-fired menu, oak-centric wine bar, and local craft beers. The menu will also incorporate some popular edibles from Le Boulanger.
As family business partners, Kristina and Jeff Brunello will oversee its development.
Berkeley-based Kahn Design Associates will design the 150-seat eatery, which will feature a custom wood-fired oven, an ovular beer and wine bar, and a warm color palette. Sliding windows in the main dining area will lead to a 16-seat outdoor patio.
The restaurant is slated to open next month.
