Budapest-based design firm Kissmiklos has unveiled its design of the new café and restaurant House of Millennium in its hometown. Conceived by locally based architecture firm Archikon, the open and spacious concept is situated within the site that was used as an exhibition hall for the National Millennium Exhibition in 1896.
References to Art Nouveau permeate across the space thanks to the deep green tones of the concept’s custom made zsolnay porcelain material. The movement’s influence is further reflected with the exaggerated scale of furnishings from plates to vases blended with the pastel pink accents adorning the interiors.
