The second iteration of the dining concept Farmer J has opened in central London to accommodate the neighborhood’s busy office community. Designed by Australian design studio Biasol, the environment is crafted to reflect the versatility and variety of the space.
Two entrances and two bars are featured to serve both dine-in and takeaway guests; a grooved timber counter serves as the food prep station, while a curved bar on the opposite side of the space clad with sage green tiling accommodates guests enjoying coffee or cocktails. Seating varies throughout the interior, ranging from stools to leather-backed booths beneath suspended, spherical white pendant lamps. Elements such as unevenly finished concrete walls and handcrafted tiles reflect the textures and tones of the restaurant’s Israeli cuisine, while also emitting a casual sensibility. Half-dowel timber battens are installed randomly alongside a timber arch that frames a dining enclave punctuated with neon signage that reads “Do what comes natural.”
