A former paint warehouse in Richmond, Virginia is now home to the city’s newest eatery, Longoven. A new fixture of the trendy Scott’s Addition neighborhood, Longoven marks the culmination of three years of popular dining pop-ups from chefs and owners Patrick Phelan, Megan Fitzroy, and Andrew Manning.
Phelan in particular spearheaded the design of the 72-seat restaurant, aiming for the space to evoke simplicity with a minimalist aesthetic. Following a deconstruction down to the studs, the space received a dark but warm finish accented with a moody color palette and midcentury furnishings. Anchored by an open kitchen, Longoven will soon unveil a lively, 50-seat outdoor patio.
