Located on the banks of New York’s East River, the redevelopment of Pier 17 at the Seaport District has yielded the new location of Malibu Farm, marking the seventh spot of the breezy restaurant that debuted in Malibu few years ago.
Crafted by Vanessa Alexander of the Los Angeles-based studio Alexander Design, its spacious and lounge-like design channels the Californian vibes while honoring an industrial aesthetic. Flooded with natural light infused through floor-to-ceiling windows, interiors feature antique mirrored walls blended with a one-of-a-kind color palette, all evoking the laidback ethos of the brand. To further emphasize a rustic, yet luxurious feel, chiseled stone and matte concrete are offset by warm elements like wood, brass, bronze, and saddle leather.
