The Mama Lion Supperclub has debuted in Los Angeles as the latest dining and nightlife concept in the Koreatown neighborhood. Conceived by owner Robert Kim and designed by locally based Kelly Architects, the concept marries Old World elegance with a modern style, resulting in a design that pays homage to the historic 1970s Mama Lion nightclub that formerly occupied the space.
Exposed brick and steel beams contrast more sophisticated details such as striking chandeliers, polished gold tiles, antique mirrors, oversized gem-toned booths, an illuminated island bar, and velvet drapes. The juxtaposition of elements celebrates the glitz and glamour synonymous with LA. Along with technological upgrades, custom designed dropdown flatscreen TVs enable the venue to host private screenings and sporting events, as well as live performances.
