Meritage Restaurant + Wine Bar, located within the Boston Harbor Hotel—a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection—will reopen this month after an extensive three-month renovation of its dining room and wine bar.
“Everything guests love about Meritage will now be enjoyed in the sleek and stylish new setting of Meritage Restaurant + Wine Bar,” says Daniel Bruce, head chef. “We are thrilled to introduce this new chapter of the Meritage experience to our community and our guests.”
Atlanta-based the Johnson Studio headed the restaurant redesign, which was inspired by a Napa Valley aesthetic with an emphasis on the harbor’s waterfront views. To evoke the wine country feel, the walls are clad in wood paneling and complemented by a wine-inspired palette and a white marble countertop was added to the revamped wine bar.
Two new private dining rooms, able to accommodate eight to 40 guests, were added and named Napa and Sonoma in reference to the restaurant’s specialty food and wine pairings.
