The fast casual Italian concept Midici Pizza has opened in Nottingham, Maryland with a design courtesy of Washington, DC-based architecture firm //3877. The 3,650-square-foot pizzeria features an open layout as well as a casual dining room setting in addition to its counter area.
Muted gold detailing and finishes span the interior as an accent to the lightly hued walls and dark, natural floors. Both of the wood-fired pizza ovens, which serve as the main focal points of the restaurant, are also finished in gold. The backlit counter space is defined with a wooden border as well as a textured gold base that merges into an elevated bar area. Topped with marble, the bar is illuminated with bold library lights.
Flooded with natural light, the dining room is outfitted with a lounge and high-top seating, while green elements, including an olive tree, inject color into the environment. High ceilings are appointed with abstract, architectural light fixtures, which reflect iridescently off the black flooring.
