Kyoto, Japan-based % Arabica Coffee has launched its latest café on the eastern coast. Crafted with its signature minimalism by Japanese design studio Nendo, the new location features a composition of white concrete and brass accents across 2,045 square feet.
Beyond the curved glass façade, Nendo maximized the narrow footprint of the café through the integration of tiered seating that resulted in an amphitheater-like design that is also reflected in the shape of the ceiling. Linen coffee sacks line the walls for added texture in the otherwise stark environment. A small number of white side tables rise from interior floors from slim brass stems, and an additional 44 seats are installed on the patio as well.
