The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes will soon add a new steak and seafood concept, Knife & Spoon, to its F&B lineup. Los Angeles-based studio SCHOOS Design crafted the 235-seat eatery, which is set to open early October, in homage to the region’s dense history and diverse natural landscape.
The sophisticated atmosphere echoes Florida’s landscapes with bright colorways, light woods, soft fabrics, a variety of textures, and abundant greenery. A lounge space welcomes visitors with a palette of rich grays and saturated jewel tones juxtaposed by modern finishes and gray Venetian plaster walls. Gray oak floors contrast colorfully patterned rugs as well. The brass-clad bar with natural turquoise stone serves as a key focal point, while the dining room is punctuated by a “cloud ceiling” installation. The sculptural intervention hovers above an undulating moss garden at the heart of the room.
