Ukraine-based studio Yova Yager has unveiled its transformation of a former knitting factory in Kiev. Reborn as a sleek Italian pizzeria and café, Rose-Mary occupies more than 3,400 square feet of the 120-year-old facility, comprising a common room with varied seating, an open bar-kitchen, a meeting and play zone, and a balcony for private dining.
Wood and other natural materials intermingle with textured terracotta elements, ranging from burnt clay to blood and wine tones. Abundant greenery also offsets the industrial qualities of the structure, while large windows flood the interior with natural light and minimalistic décor accentuates the openness of the space.
