The La Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Resort has announced the opening of its new bar La Botica. Dubbed the first hotel speakeasy hotel and piano bar in Los Cabos, Mexico, the new concept pays homage to the Prohibition era through a multisensory experience crafted by the property’s managing director Frederic Vidal.
Housed beyond a clandestine entrance neighboring the onsite spa, the glamorous space is conceived as an extension of an herbal apothecary. An elaborate display of herbs, spices, and flowers adorns the back bar to illustrate the ingredients of the cocktails. Guests are able to exit the speakeasy via a portal disguised as a vintage Coca-Cola refrigerator.
