Los Angeles-based sbe has commissioned New York-based Rockwell Group to redesign two nightlife venues in West Hollywood—Greystone Manor and Mercato di Vetro.
The architecture and design firm will work alongside sbe real estate subsidiary Dakota Development to complete work on the properties in time for their 2016 reopenings. Operations will be headed by president of sbe Nightlife Group Costas Charalambous.

“Our approach at sbe has always been to place a high importance on delivering curated and quality experiences with an immense focus on collaborating with partners that match our creativity and eagerness to deliver world-class venues,” says Sam Nazarian, sbe founder, chairman, and CEO.
To debut in the spring of 2016, the two-story Mercato di Vetro will feature a European-inspired concept and layout that groups a series of rooms around a central courtyard with a louver wall. On the ground floor, guests will find three lounges, a terrace, and a bar, while the second floor will offer additional lounge areas.

Greystone Manor will be reimagined as an avante-garde cortile when it reopens next year in early winter. In addition to its signature nightclub concept, the venue will incorporate new environments for lounging and dining. Transformed areas will stand out with illuminated LED animation, graphic foliage-inspired surrealist coverings, plush banquettes, and decorative elements that mingle marble and champagne-colored metal.
“Our goal for Mercato di Vetro and Greystone Manor was to create multiple areas within each space to allow guests to choose his or her own experience,” says Rockwell Group founder and president David Rockwell. “Layers of sumptuous, highly textured, and beautifully crafted materials are revealed as guests move deeper into the spaces.”
