SOOM, a restaurant from the team behind 3KOBROS in Canary Wharf, has opened in London’s Covent Garden.
Celebrating the communal spirit of Korean barbecue, SOOM invites guests to gather around the grill to cook and share a meal. Each premium stone table features a concealed electric grill for an elevated dining experience.

The interiors, designed in collaboration with Rubrics Concepts, blend traditional Korean aesthetics with contemporary design, creating a calm retreat from the city.
At the heart of the main floor is the SOOM feature table—a circular, 12-seat centerpiece designed for connection. Above it, a dramatic ceiling sculpture references traditional Hanok architecture, using layered wood and soft, flowing curves to evoke warmth and a sense of movement.
The ground-floor bar, adjacent to the main dining area, showcases handcrafted details like Goryeo celadon vases, a glowing hanji-wrapped counter, and a mother-of-pearl artwork depicting a Korean landscape.
The restaurant’s middle zone features sculpted arches and flowing curves that create intimate dining nooks while maintaining openness. Meanwhile, a private dining room offers a more secluded experience, with ink-wash-inspired landscape panels.
Toward the rear, a six-foot-wide circular gong, or Jing—traditionally used in Korean rituals—serves as a focal point against a softly lit backdrop. A nearby Circle of Light reinforces the theme of rhythm and shared celebration.
