After running Atlanta’s dining pop-up Eat Me Speak Me for six years, Chef Jarrett Steiber has settled on a permanent location: Little Bear, an intimate and eclectic restaurant and bar in the Summerhill neighborhood. Locally based design practice Square Feet Studio oversaw the design of the space, which draws inspiration from Little Bear’s rotating menu and close relationships with various the area’s farms.
Casual outdoor string lights hangs from the ceiling trusses above Windsor-style wood seating and custom banquettes crafted by a local furniture maker. Artwork by Atlanta artists infuse a range of regional narratives, while references to Little Bear—Steiber’s Great Pyrenees, Fernando—can be found in the wallpaper, signage, and even the tabletop corners.
