Prague-based architectural studio StudioLIBRE has unveiled its designs for the expansion of the city’s chic restaurant and lounge Buddha Bar, which includes transforming a dark corner into a popular and lively space.
The firm added volume to the bar while maintaining a connection with the larger space’s color scheme, materials, and unique lighting design. As a complement to the main bar, a new modular steel counter clad with plasterboard and mosaic paneling was installed to serve a variety of needs from food prep to sushi and cocktail presentation. The lighting system—comprised of custom steel frame hanging lamps with steel net filling—offers various intensities and colors, differentiating the atmosphere.
