International dim sum concept Tim Ho Wan has announced the launch of its second New York location in the Manhattan neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen. Following two years of success at its New York restaurant in the East Village, the newest eatery in its portfolio is crafted by Brooklyn-based design firm Blank Design.
Senior designer Harumi Isobe—who also oversaw the design of the East Village location—drew inspiration from the salons of 17th century France and the influential patrons of such elite establishments. A retro flair is paired with modern elements in a palette of Tim Ho Wan’s signature emerald green. The brand’s dragon logo also adorns the interior with Chinese-inspired accents, including an embedded bamboo steamer decoration on stucco wall.
