Moxy Hotels has unveiled its newest outpost housed within historic structure from 1860 in the nation’s capital. Designed by dash design, the Moxy DC spans 14 stories above the city’s bustling K Street corridor.
The Long Island City, New York-based firm outfitted the 200-room property with polished concrete floors, exposed concrete columns, and open ceilings. In addition to the laidback, living-room style bar and Moxy’s signature 24-hour grab-and go concept, the lobby includes abundant artwork, such as a video installation from Rahul Jhad. The library provides a quiet space for work, while the Now public space offers extensive gaming options. Spring 2019 will see the arrival of a new F&B space from Baltimore-based Atlas Restaurant Group, joining three distinct venues like the enclosed rooftop bar, a first for DC.
