Channeling the classic yet contemporary residences that define New York today, the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park will welcome refreshed guestrooms and suites, as well as a club lounge and lobby lounge in early 2019. Punctuated by custom-made furniture, guestrooms and suites, including two new Presidential suites, will feature historical elements envisioned by architect Emery Roth in 1930, while also creating a refined, townhouse escape that evokes romance and enchantment while overlooking Central Park. Earthy shades of hazelnut and slate rock will dress the rooms, while marble coffee tables will be adorned with books depicting New York City. Custom carpeting inlaid with a Matisse sketch, and wallpaper mimicking cloud formations can also be found.
Throughout the hotel, new black and white photography will showcase New York artists, including photographer Rodney Smith. Separately, luxurious La Prairie Spa will also debut a facelift, enhancing its placement as a popular, intimate haven in Manhattan.
