Accor has completed its integration of 21c Museum Hotels into its MGallery Hotel Collection, an international network of more than 100 boutique hotels across 26 countries. The acquisition marks the entrance of the MGallery brand in North America.
21c will maintain its name and identity and be known as 21c Museum Hotels – MGallery. In addition, 21c will maintain its original concept as a boutique hotel and art museum hybrid with a chef-driven restaurant experience.
“We are embarking upon an exciting period of growth for 21c Museum Hotels and the MGallery Hotel Collection,” says Accor deputy CEO Chris Cahill. “Marrying 21c’s exceptional and distinctive brand with the influence of the MGallery Collection and strength of Accor’s global platform deepens the full range of unparalleled experiences available to our guests. The official North American introduction of the MGallery brand marks the continued expansion of our lifestyle boutique footprint.”
21c Museum Hotels – MGallery features eight properties in Nashville; Bentonville, Arkansas; Cincinnati, Ohio; Lexington, Kentucky; Kansas City, Missouri; Durham, North Carolina; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A St. Louis location (a refurbishment of a former YMCA) will join the brand in 2020, while a Des Moines, Iowa property is expected to open in late 2021.
