AC Hotels by Marriott is readying to launch its latest outpost, the AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay. The 180-room new-build is designed by LA- and San Francisco-based AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design as part of the hotel and office development Elevon Campus. Aeronatuical shapes and airfoils are evoked in the building’s design, which complements angled lines with a glass window grid and silver metal panels that mirror the color of an airplane wing.
The 100,000-square-foot hotel interiors are executed by Washington, DC-based studio Design Force to highlight the dichotomy of nature and aerospace. Warm neutral hues permeate throughout the interior along with fresh gray hues and cool metals. Leathery cordovan is also featured to offset the palette, while original metal artwork and a geometric flight motif honors the hotel’s setting. Sleek furnishings and high ceilings inject opulence into each accommodation as well.
In addition to more than 2,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, the AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay’s amenities also include a fitness center, lobby, and the AC Lounge, which is an open concept communal space that also stretches outdoors. A rooftop restaurant and bar will also be revealed onsite following the hotel’s opening.
