Accor has announced the launch of its new midscale lifestyle brand Tribe in Perth, Australia. The contemporary hotel brand will aim to provide travelers with elevated hotel experiences at affordable rates. Tribe is poised to expand its footprint with 10 additional openings by 2022 across Europe and Asia Pacific, which will round out the roomcount to 1,700. The Tribe Glasgow is slated to arrive in Scotland with 290 guestrooms later this year.
“The pipeline of over 50 hotels currently being negotiated for the coming years leads us to believe that the Tribe brand will achieve significant growth all over the world including in gateway locations such as Paris, London, Singapore, Dubai, and Bangkok,” says Gaurav Bhushan, Accor’s chief development officer. “It will be making its debut in 150 international destinations by 2030.”
The Tribe Perth spans 126 guestrooms at the threshold of the botanical gardens of nearby Kings Park to instill a sense of place. Welcoming visitors with an inviting lobby and vibrant public spaces, the hotel mirrors the overall brand model punctuating its overall aesthetic with upscale furnishings, including designer seating, cushions, and light fixtures. In addition to a grab-and-go concept, the Tribe Perth is home to cuisine sourced from local producers at the Tribe Foods area, which serves as a café by day and a bar by night. A fitness center and coworking spaces are also featured onsite.
