AJ Capital Partners has launched the Graduate Oxford near the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in downtown Oxford Square.
Like all Graduate properties, the 136-room hotel was designed in reference to local history and the city’s university.
“The hallmark of Graduate Hotels is to create distinctive properties that tell the story of their communities,” says Ben Weprin, CEO of AJ Capital Partners. “Every square inch of Graduate Oxford has been thoughtfully curated to tell the story of Oxford and pay homage to the people [of] Mississippi.”
The property aesthetic is a modern interpretation of Oxford’s Southern ambiance and features pink oak lobby floors, grasscloth walls, seersucker drapery, and multicolored seating. Locally curated art is also featured prominently throughout and includes a large multimedia installation in the lobby by Mississippi artist Charlie Buckley.
Inspired by Ole Miss, the guestroom palette is a blend of colors and patterns sourced from traditional prep style.
Two onsite F&B outlets include Cabin 82, a café with rustic elements, and the Coop, a rooftop bar and restaurant. James Beard award-winning chef John Currence will oversee event space catering.
Additional amenities include a boardroom and two event spaces.
Graduate Oxford joins a slew of other Graduate-branded properties throughout college markets in the U.S., such as Graduate Athens in Georgia, Graduate Tempe in Arizona, Graduate Charlottesville in Virginia, and Graduate Madison in Wisconsin.
