The Akyra Thonglor Bangkok is set to unveil the first phase of its redesign during the third and fourth quarters of 2017. Spearheaded by locally based architecture and interior design firm Begray, the revamp will focus on 1920s opulence that also reflect the modern vivacity of the city.
The artful interior will be appointed with a black and white palette accented with gold, oversized urban photography, and custom furnishings including tinted glass dining tables and white marble coffee tables. Accommodations will feature 148 studios and one- to three-bedroom suites ranging in size from 398 to 1,657 square feet. Each guestroom will be appointed with bathtubs and floor-to-ceiling windows. Studio rooms will be equipped with sofa seating and kitchenettes, while suites boast balconies, full kitchens, and living and dining rooms.
“Elegance can be extravagant but understated, luxurious but expressive,” says Akaryn Hotel Group founder and managing director Anchalika Kijkanakorn. “This is the energy we have flowing through the design at Akyra Thonglor Bangkok and it suits the desires of our guests who come to enjoy the neighborhood’s eclectic and original appeal.”
