Aman Group is set to introduce Amancaya, a secluded sanctuary in the heart of the Bahamas’ Exuma archipelago, developed in collaboration with Swiss philanthropist and investor Dona Bertarelli.
Spanning two private cays, the project marks Aman’s first foray into the Bahamas and its third Caribbean outpost, following Amanera in the Dominican Republic and Amanyara in Turks and Caicos.
Channeling serenity at Amancaya
Amancaya will be designed as a low-density retreat comprising 36 pavilions and a collection of Aman Residences, all oriented toward privacy, serenity, and a deep connection to nature.
Drawing from the Taíno word meaning “peaceful island,” the name Amancaya reflects the property’s tranquil design narrative, where its subtle elegance coexists with the beauty of Exuma’s white-sand beaches.
The resort’s masterplan also includes a spa, beach club, marina, and a series of culinary destinations nestled throughout the islands.
As part of Aman’s commitment to sustainability, Amancaya has set forth goals to align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and achieve LEED certification.
The project is currently under construction with support from Squircle Capital.
