Expanding its European footprint, Anantara Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its first luxury property in Spain. The Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavis Marbella Resort in the country’s Málaga province stands out as a of gastronomy, spa, and golf location nestled in the rolling hills of the Andalusian coast.
Designed British architect Ed Gilbert, the palazzo-style retreat comprises 132 guestrooms and suites as well as villas with butler service, all attached to private pools. A gallery hotel, the property is filled with 1,200 original works of art, including Sevillian tapestries, paintings, and artifacts.
In addition to the three world-class golf courses, the opulent hotel also provides guests with private access via the Club de Mar beach club. Some of the F&B offerings include Spain’s popular 99 Sushi bar and O by Paco Roncero, a new restaurant by the two Michelin-star chef Paco Roncero.
