The Anatara Hoi An Resort in Vietnam has introduced a new cruise concept on Hoi An’s Thu Bon River.
The hour-long cruise is now offered daily, departing from the French Colonial-inspired resort’s port. Adorned with lanterns fashioned by carpenters from the nearby Kim Bong village, the boat is designed with details of its varied historical traditions, crafted using techniques practiced by the Cham, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Europeans.
The three-mile journey will take guests downstream beneath the Cam Nam Bridge, skirting the Ancient Town. The cruise will then embark upstream along Cam Kim Island and the carpentry village of Kim Bong before returning downstream past the Thanh Nam fishing village.
