The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, has reopened following a comprehensive, multimillion-dollar renovation. The redesign of the 150-room retreat echoes the maritime sentiment of “fair winds and following seas” to instill a warm familiarity in the seaside locale.
Accentuating the history of the harborside hotel, Washington DC-based design firm Baskervill reimagined the original brick façade with a fresh coat white of paint as well as new awnings, lighting, and planters for a contemporary, coastal appeal. Ocean hues of blue, gray, and tan layer the interior along with inviting textural accents, natural materials, and an eclectic collection of artworks. Organic patterns further recall the sea, inspired by the graceful motion of the tides. The hotel’s guestrooms are reminiscent of sailboat cabins with walnut hardwood floors and tufted channel headboards detailed with brass nailheads.
In addition to Pusser’s Caribbean Grille, onsite amenities include more than 6,000 square feet of interior event space and more than 8,500 square feet of adjoining outdoor space that can be utilized for events and meetings.
