New details have been revealed for the JW Marriott Nashville, which is slated to open in 2018. Designed by Arquitectonica, the elliptical-shaped property comprises 33 stories and 533 guestrooms and suites in the heart of the city’s downtown. Developed by Turnberry Associates, the hotel will offer access to landmarks including the Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
The design has been inspired by the nearby Cumberland River and its symbolic role in the history of the city. Sculptures, fountains, and artwork will be incorporated into the undulating glass frontage. Equipped with expansive outdoor space and vistas of the city, the 33rd floor of the hotel will be home to the 5-Star Bourbon Steak restaurant from chef Michael Mina and spa featuring a lap pool, salon, and fitness center. Additionally, 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space will be available, including two ballrooms, 16 meeting rooms, and two boardrooms.
