Ace Hotels has revealed plans to enter the luxury market with the launch of a boutique retreat located across from the Ace Hotel New Orleans. Known as the Maison de la Luz, the 67-room guesthouse will provide an elevated hospitality experience courtesy of Atelier Ace in collaboration with Los Angeles-based design firm Studio Shamshiri. It is slated to open in spring 2019, and will feature a library bar.
“Our love of New Orleans inspired us to think about different ways to activate its beauty,” says Kelly Sawdon, chief brand officer of Atelier Ace. “Maison de la Luz is a relaxed and idiosyncratic entry point to the city, allowing guests the freedom to explore New Orleans’ singular vibrance, or to seek refuge in a resplendent and private space.”
