Set to join Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the Hotel at Avalon in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Georgia is set to open in early 2018. Managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts, the 330-room hotel will anchor the 86-acre Avalon complex, which will host retail, dining, entertainment, residences, and more. The $112 million hotel is connected to the Alpharetta Conference Center and slated for an early 2018 debut.
Atlanta-based architecture firm Cooper Carry is leading the design of the hotel with interiors crafted by the Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry in collaboration with Perkins + Will. Guests will be greeted by an artfully appointed lobby and stylish, upscale suites. The design will reflect the principles of Southern hospitality, evoking tranquility with a gray, cream, and buttery yellow palette.
“We were encouraged to imagine innovative design concepts, which would support the Avalon brand and thereby provide unique guest experiences,” says Bob Neal, principal of Cooper Carry’s Hospitality Studio. “For example, the presidential suite, which is often located on upper floors, was placed on the second floor. Guests visiting the suite can walk out onto their private terrace and immediately experience the pulse of Avalon.”
A chef-driven restaurant will debut onsite as well, in addition to a 24-hour fitness center, an elegant lobby bar, and spacious second-story pool terrace.
