Auberge Resorts Collection has announced its first Central American endeavor with the management of Hacienda AltaGracia, a resort launched this month in the southern region of Costa Rica.
“We are honored to expand our thoughtfully curated portfolio of resorts in the world’s most desirable locations with the addition of Hacienda AltaGracia in Costa Rica,” says Craig T. Reid, president and CEO of the Auberge Resorts Collection.
The property was originally conceived and developed in 2011 by Costa Rican native Alberto J. Esquivel as a family retreat and has been rebranded as of this month, joining the seven existing properties in the Auberge Resorts Collection portfolio.
“After all these years and my personal history creating it, Hacienda AltaGracia is very dear to me, and I could not be happier that it will become the newest Auberge resort,” says Esquivel. “Under the management of Auberge Resorts Collection, Hacienda AltaGracia is poised to evolve in exciting and meaningful new ways while staying true to my original vision of being a vacation retreat.”

The resort’s more than 50 hacienda-style casitas start at 1,173 square feet, with rustic-elegant décor rooted in leather, wood, and local artwork. Adjoining patios and terraces offer panoramic views of the San Isidro Valley and nearby mountains.
The Casa Grande complex and social hub features entertainment spaces such as La Biblioteca, a fireside nook where movies are screened, while F&B outlets include Ambar, El Bistro, La Cantina, La Bodega del Centro, and El Grill lounge and terrace—located at the resort’s equestrian riding rings, which consist of 28 oversized indoor stables, a tack room, and an enclosed riding ring.
Additional amenities include a panoramic pool, fitness center, beauty salon, and Manantial Spa.
