The Capella Ubud in Bali is set to open later this month with designs from 2017 Platinum Circle honoree Bill Bensley of Bensley. Spread across nine tropical acres in the village of Keliki, the luxury concept comprises 22 tents and a two-bedroom lodge inspired by the early Dutch settlers of the 1800s.
Named for the unofficial king of Bali, the main F&B venue Mads Lange will be offered alongside Asian street food concept Api Jiwa. The outdoor, saltwater pool will stretch nearly 100 feet in length at the heart of the camp, while the Armory, the property’s jungle-based tented fitness center, will promote wellness amidst a dense backdrop of tropical flora. Extensive programming will also be provided to maximize exposure to all the fruits of the natural setting.
