The Bolling Wilson Hotel in Wytheville, Virgina has joined the Choice Hotels Ascend Hotel Collection from Choice Hotels International.
“The Bolling Wilson Hotel seamlessly merges historic charm with modern amenities and offers guests a truly special travel experience,” says Michael Murphy, senior vice president of upscale brands for Choice Hotels International. “Each member hotel within the Ascend Hotel Collection provides a distinct and memorable experience that brings the local culture to life. The Bolling Wilson Hotel is no exception. This hotel does a superb job of delivering an exceptional guest experience.”

The 1927-dated property was purchased by Bill and Farron Smith of Smith Enterprises and redesigned in homage to Wytheville’s most prominent citizen, Edith Bolling Wilson—President Woodrow Wilson’s wife. Edith Bolling Wilson’s childhood home was located across the street from where the hotel stands today.
The 30-room, four-story property features different décor themes, based on Wilson’s interests and passions, on each level. Guestrooms are designed and decorated around her love of orchids, canaries, and fine bourbons.
The hotel’s restaurant, Graze on Main, offers a casual but elegant dining with an eclectic design. A small dining room, the Vault, and rooftop terrace, the Perch, are also available to guests.
