Spanning six Georgian townhouses, originally crafted by architect George Dance the Younger during the 18th century, a new luxury hotel (its name will be revealed later this year) is slated for mixed-use development One Crown Place in London for a 2020 opening. Local firm Bowler James Brindley will spearhead the design where a rich color palette reminiscent of the Georgian period will pervade. Each townhouse has a unique personality that will be connected in public spaces on the ground floor.
The hotel will include a public street-facing deli, a café that encourages socializing, restaurant, and art gallery, as well as a reception parlor with a relaxed check-in area. The restaurant will open to a greenhouse-style courtyard housing lush vegetation, while 41 guestrooms and suites will be elegant yet homey with ornate detailing, patterned wallpapers, and natural woods.
